Why your garage door is stuck open
**Broken torsion spring** is the #1 cause. With the spring snapped, the opener can't pull the door's full weight back down and it sits at the top.
**Broken or off-track cable** unbalances the door and the opener safety-stops.
**Trolley disconnected from the carriage** (someone pulled the red rope). Re-engage by pulling the rope toward the door.
**Stripped opener gear** can't lower the door under load.
**Power outage with no battery backup**—use the manual release to bring the door down, then call us to repair the opener.
