The more we know up front, the faster we can quote the job and get the right parts on the truck. None of the following are required, but each one shortens the visit and reduces the chance of a second trip:
- Door size. Single car (about 8x7 or 9x7), double car (16x7) or commercial sectional/rolling-steel.
- Opener brand and approximate age. LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Sommer or Linear. The model sticker is usually on the back of the motor head.
- Problem description. Door will not open, opens halfway, loud bang, sensor light blinking, cable hanging loose, panel dented, etc.
- Photos. A picture of the broken spring, frayed cable, dented panel or opener label helps us confirm the right parts before dispatch.
- Address and access notes. Gate codes, dogs in the yard or alley-only access save time on arrival.
