Common causes of a shaking garage door
**Worn or flat-spotted rollers** bounce in the tracks and shake the entire door. Nylon 13-ball replacements solve it permanently.
**Loose hinge or strut bolts** let panels flex independently. Common after 5+ years of vibration.
**Track out of plumb** by even 1/8 inch causes the rollers to bind and the door to shake.
**Unbalanced spring tension** (one spring weaker than the other on a two-spring system) pulls one side harder than the other.
**Bent track at a hinge joint** from a bumper tap or settling foundation.
